Sarah Kersey
Meet Sarah Kersey, one of our newest architectural team members, who previously worked with us as a summer intern. Sarah was born and raised in Plano, Texas, and later followed her passion for design to the University of Arkansas, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Architecture with a minor in interior design from the Fay Jones School of Architecture. She recently graduated this fall, completing her honors capstone on how architecture affects children with neurodiverse conditions in schools, and is now beginning her journey toward licensure.
On weekends, you’ll often find Sarah either playing tennis or pickleball. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Sketcher, as well as her family and friends, whether dining out, playing sports, or enjoying a movie marathon.

“We should design for the present with awareness of the past and for a future that is unknown.” – Norman Foster
During Sarah’s time at glenn|partners, she has been working with Patrick Glenn and Greg Estes on Richardson ISD’s Westwood Middle School.

First Moment when you realized you wanted to be an Architect
During my junior year of high school, I took ASL (American Sign Language) and my teacher gave us an assignment to design a deaf- friendly house. I had always been interested in architecture and design but by doing this project something clicked, and I realized just how much the built environment affects our lives every day and discovered my true desire to design architecture that is accessible to everyone. After that project I signed up for an architecture class, learned SketchUp and AutoCAD, and have been hooked on Architecture ever since.
