The new Student Innovation Center is situated in the heart of campus and is the home of Cristo Rey’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) and Training Center. The 40,435 square foot innovation center houses diverse program functions including CWSP Offices, a multi-level student-centered Dining Hall, full functioning Kitchen, Counseling Offices, Art Studios and Gallery, Music and Drama Rooms, as well as new Athletic Locker Rooms and Competition Gymnasium. In addition, the new Gymnasium is a storm shelter meeting the current ICC 500-2014 requirements and serving as a safe haven for the entire campus.

The building design is sculpted around a restricted and tight existing Planned Development while thoughtfully arranging diverse program functions into an innovative, cohesive, and collegiate style student union. The multi-level, glass wrapped Student Dining Hall is nestled into an existing grove of oak tress allowing a second level dining area to extend out toward the tree canopy and spill onto an outdoor dining terrace. Contrasting the shiny glass dining hall, the new CWSP offices, training center, art studios, and counseling offices stand as a solid and proud corner stone at the heart of campus, putting Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep’s mission on display for all who visit.

The new student facility is design to meet LEED Silver Certification and pending final review and approval.
