Renovations to an existing Cosmetology Lab at Berkner High School will support the campus’ growing CTE programs. The Cosmetology Lab is outfitted with 32 cosmetology stations, 6 shampooing chairs, a facial room, and classroom spaces for instructional use. The new Cosmetology Lab allows students to get real-life, hands-on experience while completing their education at Berkner High School.

Each of the 32 cosmetology stations are equipped with professional barber chairs, custom millwork and mirrors, and outlets for multiple sets of equipment. The environment is designed and treated as a professional business that is currently open to the public for business. This space gives the students a place of unity and professionalism as it prepares them for a career in Cosmetology.

Outside of Cosmetology Lab is a custom graphic wall that incorporates the brand of the School, Cosmetology Lab, and Barber Shop. The graphic was designed with the heart of the school and program in mind as it celebrates the beauty industry and draws the attention to the growing program. New storefront and windows allow the program to be on display for the rest of the school and to develop more curiosity for the program.
